Calling people to Allah is a duty and a glorious mission because it means calling people to worship Allah Alone.

It aims at bringing them forth from darkness to light, planting goodness instead of evil and truth instead of falsehood.

Hence, whoever intends to do dawah needs to have knowledge, understanding, patience, forbearance, gentleness, and kindness.

Allah Says:

{اُدۡعُ اِلٰى سَبِيۡلِ رَبِّكَ بِالۡحِكۡمَةِ وَالۡمَوۡعِظَةِ الۡحَسَنَةِ وَجَادِلۡهُمۡ بِالَّتِىۡ هِىَ اَحۡسَنُؕ اِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ اَعۡلَمُ بِمَنۡ ضَلَّ عَنۡ سَبِيۡلِهٖ وَهُوَ اَعۡلَمُ بِالۡمُهۡتَدِيۡنَ}

Interpretation of the meaning: “Invite all to the Way of your Lord with wisdom and kind advice, and only debate with them in the best manner. Surely your Lord alone knows best who has strayed from His Way and who is ˹rightly˺ guided.”

[Quran, 16:125]

Inviting People to Islam

How can you effectively and adequately give dawah (inviting people to Islam)?

1- Niyyah (Intention):

When giving dawah, one must have pure intentions and seek Allah’s pleasure rather than worldly benefits.

Every action must stem from sincere intentions.

Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates:

I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, say: “Actions are (judged) by motives (niyyah), so each man will have what he intended. Thus, he whose migration (hijrah) was to Allah and His Messenger, his migration is to Allah and His Messenger; but he whose migration was for some worldly thing he might gain, or for a wife he might marry, his migration is to that for which he migrated.”

[Al-Bukhari & Muslim]

2- Show the Best Manners:

A positive attitude and a friendly disposition can help you win people over. Let us take the example of Prophet Muhammad; peace be upon him, the Messenger of Allah.

Many of the earliest converts to Islam were fascinated not only by the message that he delivered but also by his personality.

His humility, truthfulness, and kindness, peace be upon him, were unparalleled, which made people fond of him.

Notably, many of his staunch opponents accepted Islam simply because – despite their hostility towards him – the Prophet, peace be upon him, treated them with the utmost respect and kindness.

3- Preach what is right:

One will be held responsible for knowingly teaching non-Muslims incorrect information, resulting in sin.

Teaching them the basics before moving on to more advanced topics is essential.

It is reported on the authority of Ibn ‘Abbas that Mu’adh said:

The Messenger of Allah sent me (as a governor of Yemen) and (at the time of departure) instructed me thus:

You will soon find yourself in a community one among the people of the Book, so first call them to testify that there is no god but Allah, that I (Muhammad) am the messenger of Allah, and if they accept this, then tell them Allah has enjoined upon them five prayers during the day and the night and if they receive it, then tell them that Allah has made Zakat obligatory for them that it should be collected from the rich and distributed among the poor, and if they agree to it don’t pick up (as a share of Zakat) the best of their wealth. Beware of the supplication of the oppressed, for there is no barrier between him and Allah—[Muslim]

4- Don’t Do a Comparative Analysis:

When giving dawah (inviting people to Islam) to a non-Muslim, it is essential to be polite to the teachings of the religion.

Criticizing something someone is passionate about can put them on the defensive and cause them to shut down or condemn you and your beliefs.

It is crucial to approach the conversation respectfully and kindly to create a safe space for dialogue and understanding and showcase the kind teachings of what you stand for.

Inviting People to Islam

5- Invite them to Islamic Events:

When Umar, may Allah be pleased with him (Before becoming a Muslim), was on his way to kill the Prophet, peace be upon him, he overheard his sister reciting the Quran.

The words moved him so much that he accepted Islam. This shows the power of the Quran and how it can impact people’s lives.

To help non-Muslims understand the religion better, exposing them to what Muslims do is essential.

If the non-believers are members of your family, One way to do this is to play or recite the Quran in the house.

Even if they don’t understand the meaning at first, hearing the recitation of the Quran can become a soothing sound.

You can also invite them to Islamic events, charity programs, khutbah (sermons), and other places where they can hear the message of Islam from someone else and interact with Muslims.

These experiences can help them to learn more about Islam and become more comfortable with it.

Inviting People to Islam

6- Sabr(Patience):

When giving dawah, it is crucial to have patience and tolerance towards all the things that you might encounter.

We should remember the hardships faced by our beloved Prophet Muhammad; peace be upon him while preaching the message of Islam.

He remained patient despite being called foul names, and Allah Almighty helped him.

Allah Says:

{وَٱصۡبِرۡ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَٱهۡجُرۡهُمۡ هَجۡرٗا جَمِيلٗا}

Interpretation of the meaning: “And be patient over what they say and avoid them with gracious avoidance.”

[Quran, 73:10]

Remember that immediate results may not be visible when giving dawah (Inviting People to Islam).

People often need time to consider the significant change of converting to Islam and accepting Allah’s teachings.

So, it’s expected that one will require time to think about their decision and weigh their choices.

And always remember:

“You surely cannot guide whoever you like ˹O Prophet˺, but it is Allah Who guides whoever He wills…”

(interpretation of the meaning) [Quran, 28:56]

In Islam, understanding, loving, and emulating the character of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, is one of the most significant aspects of our faith.

This is evident when we recite Shahadah, which comprises two inseparable parts: the belief that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah and that Prophet Muhammad is His last prophet and messenger.

It is important to note that dawah (inviting people to Islam) is the practice of the Messenger Muhammad; peace be upon him and his followers.

Allah says:

{قُلۡ هَـٰذِهِۦ سَبِیلِیۤ أَدۡعُوۤا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِۚ عَلَىٰ بَصِیرَةٍ أَنَا۠ وَمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَنِیۖ وَسُبۡحَـٰنَ ٱللَّهِ وَمَاۤ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِینَ}

Interpretation of the meaning: Say [O Muhammad]: ‘This is my way; I invite to Allah with insight, I and those who follow me. And exalted is Allah; and I am not of those who associate others with him.’”

[Quran, 12:108]

The Prophet’s Dawah was in Stages:

In the Prophet, peace be upon him; we have the best example of how to call people to Islam.

He followed a gradual approach in phases, with unwavering determination and will, until Islam became deeply rooted in the Arabic community and began to spread to neighboring countries.

The first phase: Secret Dawah

At the start of his mission – the Prophet, peace be upon him – invited people to Islam individually and in secret, focusing on the Shahadah, faith, and heart-purification.

After three years of constant efforts, a small community of sincere believers emerged who had unwavering faith and detached themselves from the deceptive pleasures and desires of life.

Dawah

Second Phase: Open Dawah

Allah commanded the Prophet to openly spread his message to the people of Makkah, especially his relatives and tribe.

However, this led to persecution of the early followers of Islam, and many of them had to flee to Ethiopia. Despite this, Islam continued to grow stronger.

Third Phase: Dawah Beyond Makkah

Towards the end of the 10th year, Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, formed a treaty of alliance with the people of Madinah, and Muslims began migrating there.

This migration marked a significant turning point in Islamic history, as a new Muslim society was established, and a state based on Islamic principles emerged, which gained power, respect, and influence.

Fourth Phase: Dawah Beyond Arabia

After the peace treaty of Al-Hudaibiyah, Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, intensified his ceaseless efforts to propagate the Islamic Dawah beyond Arabia.

He initiated correspondence with kings and princes of neighboring countries to spread the message of Islam.

Dawah

Five prophetic methodologies and principles:

The Prophet, peace be upon him, employed specific methods in calling to Allah, which can be summarized in five directions.

1. Actions speak louder than words:

A Muslim should lead by example before inviting others to embrace Islam. They should display good actions and manners before calling people to follow Islamic laws.

People are more influenced by actions and behaviors than mere words and statements.

Allah says:

{أَتَأۡمُرُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ بِٱلۡبِرِّ وَتَنسَوۡنَ أَنفُسَكُمۡ وَأَنتُمۡ تَتۡلُونَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَۚ أَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُونَ}

Interpretation of the meaning: “Do you order righteousness of the people and forget yourselves while you recite the Scripture? Then will you not reason?”

[Quran, 2:44]

Allah also directly addressed the believers, asking for:

{يا أَيُّهَا الَّذينَ آمَنوا لِمَ تَقولونَ ما لا تَفعَلونَ}

Interpretation of the meaning:  “O you who believe, why do you say what you do not do?”

[Quran, 61:02]

Dawah

2. Give glad tidings or rewards before mentioning Allah’s warnings:

When advising people, it is recommended to first give them good news or tips before warning them of potential consequences.

This approach is exemplified in the Quran, where the Prophet is described as a giver of glad tidings before a warner to humanity.

Similarly, when the Prophet, peace be upon him, sent Abu Moosa al-Ash’aree and Mu’adh ibn Jaba, may Allah be pleased with them,l to Yemen, he instructed them to make things easy for people, give them good news and not be overly strict. Muslims need to use this same approach when inviting others to Islam.

Rather than focusing solely on the potential consequences of not following the religion, one should also emphasize the many benefits of embracing Islam.

Overall, the key is to begin by offering rewards and good news and, if necessary, move on to warnings and punishments.

When you read the Quran, you will find that Allah combines glad tidings of reward with the threat of punishment.

However, Allah brings the glad tidings of the reward before the threat of punishment.

Allah says:

{وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَـٰكَ إِلَّا كَآفَّةًۭ لِّلنَّاسِ بَشِيرًۭا وَنَذِيرًۭا وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ}

Interpretation of the meaning: “We have not sent you (O Muhammad) except as a Giver of glad tidings and a Warner to all mankind, but most of men know not”

[Quran, 34:28]

3. Moderation in giving dawah and being careful of going to extremes:

Every person who calls to Islam should maintain restraint in their approach. Neither excessive rigidity nor total leniency will benefit the cause of dawah.

Unfortunately, some preachers begin with extreme positions, such as declaring someone a non-believer or accusing them of sin and disobedience, which is not helpful.

It is essential to follow a moderate methodology of assessing situations, people, ideologies, intentions, and objectives.

4. Small steps at a time:

The Quran and the Prophet, peace be upon him, teach us to share our beliefs gradually.

Let’s start with the most essential ideas and add more details later.

It’s crucial to prioritize and understand the teachings of our religion before sharing them with others.

This gradual approach is shown in the story of Mu’adh Ibn Jabal, may Allah be pleased with him, when the Prophet, peace be upon him, sent him to Yemen.

He first taught the people to worship Allah alone and then added information about prayers and Zakat.

The laws of Islam were revealed in stages over several years. Most were revealed in Madinah after the Prophet; peace be upon him, had taught his followers the correct beliefs in Makkah for 13 years.

The Prophet, peace be upon him, used this gradual approach to call people to Islam.

5. Connect people to the truth and do not connect them to individuals and personalities:

To be a successful Muslim preacher, it’s essential to connect people to the truth. This means helping them connect with Allah and His religion instead of specific individuals, personalities, or parties.

That’s why the focus should be on the sacred texts, which provide the basis for the faith.

It’s essential to rely on scholars who call for the truth to understand the Sacred Texts.

They have inherited this knowledge from the Prophets through learning and studying.

Dawah

The prophet invited people to Islam, starting with his family and extending to the entire Arabian Peninsula.

He used consistent, reasonable, and realistic methods that were successful. He gathered a group of believers around him and created a community that spread his message to other lands.

As the Messenger of Allah, he sent letters to neighboring states to invite them to join. His call to Islam spread rapidly over the following centuries.

In conclusion, the Prophet Muhammad’s dawah was a lifelong mission carried out in stages through various methods and principles.
As Muslims, we must understand and follow his example in inviting people to
Islam

Islam encompasses more than mere acts of prayer, fasting, giving Zakah (alms-giving), and embarking on Hajj (pilgrimage).

While these principles form the core of Islam, the religion itself is all-encompassing and holistic, addressing every facet of human life.

Dawah refers to conveying the message of Islam to Muslims and non-Muslims alike.

Its goal is to ensure that everyone is on the right track and to guide those who have gone astray back to the straight path of Allah Almighty.

Types of dawah:

Direct Dawah:

Direct dawah involves initiating a conversation with someone and asking them if they have ever considered Islam.

During the conversation, you should discuss the benefits of Islam and use appropriate language.

Indirect Dawah:

Indirect dawah is often more effective. The best way to do this is by mirroring the prophetic characters.

To be a preacher of Islam, it is important to be truthful, trustworthy, helpful, and show compassion and mercy in your interactions with others.

Give Dawah

Do’s and Don’ts when Giving Dawah to Non-Muslims:

  • Don’t go deep into a subject you know nothing about
  • Don’t always point out faults in their religion
  • Don’t speak about controversial issues
  • ✓ Find common ground
  • ✓ Choose your words carefully
  • ✓ Be smart and polite
Give Dawah

Five Practical Tips to Give Dawah:

1. Educate yourself

If you want to give dawah correctly and effectively, the first step is to attend a course.

Many Dawah organizations around the world offer courses on effective ways to give dawah.

You can search the Internet for online courses in your country or read books such as Islamic Studies which discuss the principles and pillars of Islam.

Give Dawah

2. Learn & Teach from the examples of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, is a prime example of how Muslims should conduct themselves.

His life teaches us many valuable lessons that we can share with others to spread the word of Islam.

One way to do so is by sharing a book on the Prophet’s life with anyone interested.

This will help them learn about his character, his teachings, and the beauty of Islam.

Give Dawah

3. Share your knowledge of Islam

If you attend an Islamic event and take notes, share what you learned in person and online to spread knowledge of Islam.

If someone asks you a question about Islam and you know the answer, share your knowledge to help others.

Remember that hiding knowledge is not good in Islam and can lead to punishment.

4. Be a role model

When it comes to sharing Islam with others, showing them through practical examples can be the most effective way.

By practicing Islam and embodying its values in your behavior, you can inspire other Muslims to deepen their faith and encourage non-Muslims to learn more about Islam.

People with strong character are more respected and trustworthy than those who don’t act according to Islamic teachings.

If you live your life according to Islam, not only will Allah reward you, but you’ll also be able to invite others to learn about the religion.

The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: “Nothing is heavier on the scale of deeds than good manners.”

[Tirmidhi]

5. Charity is key

If you want to set a good example and give back to the community, consider participating in charitable causes.

Volunteering your time and resources to help orphans, raise funds for charity, or work on projects that help to alleviate poverty can make a positive difference in the world.

By engaging in these noble charitable deeds alongside others, you may inspire others to do the same.

This can be a great way to spread the message of Islam and encourage others to join in on these important causes.

In conclusion, throughout the 1400 years of Islam, dawah was not only a vehicle for spreading the message but also for practicing Islam’s values among people.

At all stages of your dawah work, please regularly remind yourself of the intention behind your actions, observe taqwa (piety), and always strive to uphold good character.

And always remember:

“Invite ˹all˺ to the Way of your Lord with wisdom and kind advice, and only debate with them in the best manner…”
(interpretation of the meaning) [Quran, 16:125]

Inviting others to learn and understand Islam is known as “Dawah”; it helps individuals better understand the religion.

Islam places great importance on dawah, and it involves guiding both non-Muslims towards Islam and Muslims to strengthen their belief.

The Quran encourages Muslims to avoid forcing non-believers to convert to Islam.

Allah says:

{لَاۤ إِكۡرَاهَ فِی ٱلدِّینِۖ}

Interpretation of the meaning: “(There is) no compulsion in religion.”

[Quran, 2:256]

Therefore, the most appropriate way to convert someone to Islam would be by convincing them of its superiority using explanations and examples suggested in the Quran:

Allah says:

{اُدۡعُ اِلٰى سَبِيۡلِ رَبِّكَ بِالۡحِكۡمَةِ وَالۡمَوۡعِظَةِ الۡحَسَنَةِ وَجَادِلۡهُمۡ بِالَّتِىۡ هِىَ اَحۡسَنُ}

Interpretation of the meaning: “call to the way of your Lord with wisdom and goodly exhortation, and reason with them in the best manner possible.”

[Quran, 16:125]

What is the Importance of Dawah (inviting people to Islam)?

Guiding people towards the Straight Path and bringing them happiness in this world and the Hereafter is considered the best of deeds.

It is important because people need guidance and support to achieve true happiness.

Allah Says:

{وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ قَوْلًا مِّمَّن دَعَا إِلَى اللَّهِ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا وَقَالَ إِنَّنِي مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ}

Interpretation of the meaning: “And whose words are better than someone who calls others to Allah, does good, and says, “I am truly one of those who submit.”

[Quran, 41:33]

The significance of dawah is substantial and can be determined by the following facts:

Fulfillment of Obligation

As a moral obligation, every individual needs to promote honesty and prevent others from engaging in unlawful activities.

However, for Muslims, this is a moral duty and a religious one.

Allah Almighty Says:

{وَلْتَكُنْ مِنْكُمْ أُمَّةٌ يَدْعُونَ إِلَى الْخَيْرِ وَيَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ ۚ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ}

Interpretation of the meaning: “And let there be among you a community calling to virtue, advocating righteousness, and deterring evil. These are the successful.

[Quran, 3:104]

Carrying out the Job of the Prophets (peace be upon them)

The main task of all the Prophets Allah Almighty sent was to spread the message of Islam,  monotheism, morality, and ethics among their people.

They aimed to remind people of the existence of One God and encourage them to adopt ethical behavior and avoid immoral practices.

Allah Almighty Says:

{قُلْ هَٰذِهِ سَبِيلِي أَدْعُو إِلَى اللَّهِ ۚ عَلَىٰ بَصِيرَةٍ أَنَا وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَنِي ۖ وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَمَا أَنَا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ}

Interpretation of the meaning: “This is my way; I invite to Allah with insight, I and those who follow me. And exalted is Allah; and I am not of those who associate others with Him.

[Quran, 12:108]

Earning Great Rewards

Since spreading goodness is a virtuous act, it also results in receiving immense rewards from Allah Almighty.

Just as spending in the way of Allah –  such as building a mosque or feeding the poor –  makes one eligible for His blessings, preaching Allah’s instructions is also a means to attain great rewards from Him.

Strengthening of One’s Faith

It is an undeniable accomplishment to positively impact the lives of others, but there is an additional benefit to engaging in dawah.

It serves as a means to uplift others and facilitates the continuous purification of one’s soul and the prevention of evil whispers.

Through constant learning and teaching new Islamic lessons, one gains a deeper understanding of the religion and strengthens their faith, thus making one less susceptible to the influence of evil forces.

Being Successful in the Hereafter

As Muslims, we are responsible for guiding people toward the right path and preventing them from straying onto the wrong one.

We firmly believe that we will be held accountable for all of our actions on the Day of Judgment, including how we raised our children, managed our wealth, fulfilled our religious obligations, and spread the message of Islam.

Therefore, we must fulfill our duty of dawah (inviting people to Islam) with utmost sincerity and awareness.

The Prophet, Peace be upon him, said: “Whoever is asked about some knowledge that he knows, and then he conceals it, he will be bridled with a bridle of fire.”

[Tirmidhi]

The Rewards of Dawah:

Inviting people to Allah is a noble act that reaps immense rewards. The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: “Whoever calls others to guidance will have a reward like the rewards of those who follow him, without that detracting from their reward in any way.

And whoever calls others to misguidance will have a burden of sin like the burden of those who follow him, without that detracting from their burden in any way.”

[Muslim]

The rewards of dawah (inviting people to Islam) are confined to this world and carry over to the Hereafter.

Muslims are encouraged to participate in dawah with sincerity and patience, knowing that their efforts will be rewarded by Allah.

Types of Dawah:

Dawah is of three types:

1- Improving oneself and one’s life according to the teachings of Allah and

His Prophet (peace be upon him) is called “dawah to oneself.”

This process involves purifying and changing one’s thoughts to align with Islamic principles, eliminating inequalities, acquiring practical knowledge of Islam, developing a trustworthy and honest character, and demonstrating Islamic values in all aspects of life – including behavior, personal dealings, and responsibilities.

By doing so, one can become a positive role model for the Islamic way of life, and that is where dawah starts.

Dawah in Islam

2- It is important to spread the teachings of Islam to your family and ensure

that they are saved from eternal punishment.

To do this, you must lead by example and follow the commands of Allah and His Prophet (peace be upon him).

The family unit is a crucial aspect of spreading the message of Islam, as having a family that upholds Islamic values, shows love and respect to others, honors the elderly, and is committed to their relatives can inspire others.

By striving to create a positive family environment, you can set an example for future generations, local communities, and friends.

Dawah in Islam

3- As Muslims, we believe that we must spread the message of Islam to society.

This means that we should strive to live our lives as good examples of the Islamic way of life and encourage others to do the same.

We cannot consider ourselves true Muslims if we neglect the wider society around us, which may be full of negative influences and materialistic values.

Therefore, we must actively engage with people and promote Islam as a better way of living to positively impact our community.

Dawah in Islam

Spreading the message of Islam and inviting others to adopt its teachings is an important role of dawah.

To fulfill this duty, every Muslim must engage in dawah following the Quran’s guidance and the example set by Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.

Muslims approach dawah with knowledge, wisdom, and patience to guide others towards the righteous path and worship of Allah Almighty.

Fulfilling dawah’s responsibilities contributes to societal enhancement and strengthens one’s faith.

May Allah Almighty guide us in our efforts to convey the message of Islam and reward us for our endeavors.

At the heart of democracy, in front of the iconic White House. Muslim Voice for Peace team gathers every Saturday, rain or shine, to promote peace and understanding through conversation and discussion.

This initiative  involves engaging with the public, answering questions, and distributing Islamic literature.

Street Dawah is a reminder of the importance of working tirelessly to spread knowledge and dispel misconceptions about Islam.

It is also a testament to the commitment of the Muslim community to building a more inclusive and peaceful world.

Spreading Knowledge, One Pamphlet at a Time

Over the past few months, our team has been committed to distributing Islamic literature.

We’ve distributed a staggering 1,000 pieces of literature, ensuring accurate information about Islam is readily available to curious people.

These pamphlets are a great way to learn more about Islam. They are full of information about the faith, its history, and its principles.

They are an excellent resource for anyone interested in learning more about Islam or who wants to understand it better.

The pamphlets can bridge gaps in knowledge and foster an environment of curiosity and learning. They are written in a clear and concise style and are easy to understand.

Engaging in Enlightening Conversations

One of the most rewarding aspects of our Street Dawah initiative is engaging in meaningful conversations with people from diverse backgrounds.

We’ve had numerous enlightening discussions where we’ve answered questions, clarified misconceptions, and promoted dialogue.

By providing a safe and open space for dialogue in Front of the White House, we have helped to break down barriers and build connections between people of different backgrounds and beliefs.

These conversations are vital to fostering mutual respect and understanding among communities, as they allow people to learn from each other and see the world through different perspectives.

Witnessing Incredible Transformations

The most heartwarming highlight of our Street Dawah initiative is witnessing individuals embrace Islam after engaging in our discussions.

We’ve been privileged to witness a few incredible journeys where individuals have chosen to embrace Islam, drawn by the knowledge and understanding they gained through our interactions.

These transformations remind us of the power of knowledge and open-hearted dialogue to break down barriers and build bridges between people of different faiths.

They reaffirm our commitment to continue this initiative and spread awareness about Islam so everyone can learn about its rich history and culture.

A Special Thank You to Our Volunteers and Donors

We are deeply grateful for the unwavering support of our amazing volunteers and generous donors.

They are the heart and soul of our initiative, and their dedication and contributions have been essential to our success.

And not only have they devoted their time, but also their passion and commitment to this cause. We are truly thankful for their generosity and support.

Together, We’re Making a Difference

In a world that often seems divided, initiatives like the interfaith dialogue offer hope.

We provide accurate information about Islam and openly dialogue with people of all backgrounds.

Through these interactions, we have seen remarkable transformations in people’s understanding and appreciation of Islam.

Street Dawah is helping to build a more inclusive and understanding society where everyone feels respected and valued.

As we stand in front of the White House every Saturday, we are not just distributing pamphlets; we are distributing hope, knowledge, and unity.

We invite you to be a part of our journey, to stand with us in solidarity, and to be a beacon of positivity and understanding in our community.

Thank you for being a part of our journey! 🙏

It was a special experience for Muslim Voice for Peace to go on the Ramadan Tour 2023. We enjoyed meeting our brothers in Islam in the places we visited.

In this tour, we did many activities that we hope were effective and gave profit to those who joined us in our Ramadan tour.

We will tell you about our activities on this Ramadan tour below:

The first destination of the Ramadan tour was Florida, where we enjoyed meeting our brothers in Islam and practicing our worship with them.

On the first day in Florida, we Conducted the Friday Khutbah at Bishara Masjid, it was a great pleasure for us to have the Friday Khutbah in this Masjid.

After the khutbah, we had a fruitful discussion with local Businessmen, and they were interested in supporting our cause during Iftar. And they generously donated to help us with our upcoming project. May Allah reward them well and accept their good deeds.

On Saturday, we gave a beneficial lecture about the importance of Dawah at Brandon Masjid. In this lecture, we tried to explain the importance of Dawah.

On Sunday, the third day of the tour, our lecture was about interfaith and outreach at Masjid Abu Bakr.

On the last day of the tour, on Monday we visited the Hifz Academy, and it was a great pleasure to speak to Huffaz al Quran there and try to inspire and motivate them.

During this visit, we were inspired also by their discipline and commitment to memorizing the Holy Quran.

Our next destination On the Ramadan tour was Texas, where we had a different activity.

On Friday, we conducted the khutbah. And after Taraweeh, we lectured the prayers at Masjid Maryam, one of the largest Masjids in Houston.

On the next day, we lectured the Fajr prayers at Masjid Sabireen. They were eager to learn more about Islam.

On Sunday, during our visit to the River Oak Islamic Center, we discussed the importance of social and community service and our social responsibility as American Muslims living in America.

As for Monday, we gave a lecture after Isha at Masjid Mustafa. In this lecture, we discussed strengthening your core knowledge of Islam.

On Tuesday, we gave a talk to the youth in Masjid Aqsa to be patient and have faith.

On Wednesday, the last day of the tour in Texas, we lectured an effective lecture at MAS Katy, one of the central Masjids of the area.

Overall, our trip was a success, as we engaged with various communities and individuals and had effective discussions about religion, outreach, and social responsibility. We hope to continue these efforts in the future and inspire others to do the same.
